Frederick S. Hammer

Mr. Hammer has been Co-Chairman of Inter-Atlantic Group since 1994 and is a member of the firm's investment committee. Mr. Hammer also served as Co-Chairman of Guggenheim Securities LLC, the firm's former FINRA broker-dealer operation, until 2003. Mr. Hammer formerly served as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer of Mutual of America Capital Management Corporation. His responsibilities included directing the $7 billion investment portfolio of Mutual of America. Previously, Mr. Hammer served as President of SEI Asset Management Group where he originated the multi-manager investment operations at the company.

Mr. Hammer also served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Meritor Financial Group; Executive Vice President of The Chase Manhattan Bank, where he was responsible for the bank's global consumer activities including the retail branch network, credit cards, consumer lending and deposit businesses; Executive Vice President of Associates Corp. of North America; and Vice President of Bankers Trust Co. Mr. Hammer is a Director of several of Fund I's portfolio companies including E-Duction, Inc., Avalon Healthcare Holdings, Inc and Homeowners of America Holding Corporation. In addition, Mr. Hammer currently serves as a Director on the Boards of ING Clarion Realty Funds and Unicorn Financial Services. Mr. Hammer is a former Director of VISA and VISA International.

Mr. Hammer holds an A.B. degree in Mathematics, magna cum laude, from Colgate University and received his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Economics from Carnegie-Mellon University. He taught Finance and Banking at The Wharton School, The University of Indiana, and New York University's Graduate School of Business Administration.
